Joe Ryan

Joe Ryan

Joe Ryan is the managing principal of CareerMentor.us. He has extensive experience in the private, not-for-profit, and public sector markets. His expertise includes career management and transition, executive development and coaching, executive search, human resources development and management consulting. He consults one-to-one with individuals from a variety of industries and disciplines who occupy positions at all organizational levels, and he facilitates group workshops.

Joe supports and assists clients with self assessment and provides motivational, practical, and strategic direction and execution of comprehensive job search campaigns. As a volunteer, he has conducted workshops on successful job search methods for blind and visually impaired job seekers and older executives and professionals in career transition. Currently, he conducts a faith-based career transition ministry for his faith community.

His broad career management and human resources consulting practice includes serving varied organizations, groups and individuals from large and small businesses, trade and professional associations, non-profits, and government. Previously, he was senior vice president and general manager of the Washington, DC office of a regional executive search firm, and owned and conducted his own executive search practice.

Earlier, Joe served on the White House Staff where he recruited candidates for Cabinet, sub-Cabinet and other senior level posts. He also was a principal at one of the leading public accounting and management services firms, and a senior associate with one of the world’s leading management consulting firms.

Joe holds a bachelors degree in business administration from Manhattan College and pursued studies toward an MBA at New York University.
